Would recommend for a weekend rest

Comfortable bed, inviting lobby, the decor was tasteful, and we enjoyed a clean room with excellent bath towels and linens, providing a great night's sleep, all while being conveniently located near numerous restaurants and local attractions.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

The hotel had a clean room and comfortable bed. Check-in was smooth, thanks to Jim, the efficient night manager. Breakfast was delightful, especially the fantastic omelet cooked by Luis. However, I requested a firm bed but received a saggy one instead. Also, the GPS led us to a wrong location three miles away. The staff knew this but didn’t mention it. Overall, a few minor issues but the attentive service made the stay pleasurable.

Easy access to shopping and local dining options made it a great choice. Clean rooms provided a comfortable atmosphere worth returning to.

Breakfast isn't included with the room price, leading to overpriced meal options that leave a little to be desired. The restaurant's operating hours from Monday to Thursday seemed a strange choice for a hotel located in a vibrant area, limiting dining options during the weekend. The bathroom could benefit from larger tub mats and repositioning the support bar to prevent slipping, as the current arrangement feels cramped and inadequate.

The hotel lobby felt modern and welcoming, but the air conditioning unit disturbed our sleep. Overall, a decent stay with easy access to local attractions.

The breakfast was amazing, especially the chef's fantastic omelet! I also loved the cozy lobby with its inviting vibe and enjoyed check-in with Jim, who was super efficient.

One tiny hiccup is the bathroom setup. those tub mats could be bigger, and the support bar needs to be shifted for better access. It's a minor tweak for a safer shower experience though, and everything else still sparkled.

Why it’s almost great (but not quite)

The staff offered exceptional service, making check-in a breeze and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. The room was clean, and I enjoyed a delightful breakfast prepared by a talented cook!

Despite the positives, I encountered issues with a rude front desk employee who made my family feel uncomfortable during our stay. Additionally, the outdated decor detracted from the overall ambiance.

During our stay, we enjoyed exploring nearby attractions, including a visit to the famous Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium. The lobby was welcoming, and it made a fantastic spot to relax with my family, especially my grandson.

My children wished for a larger pool area.

The hotel’s lobby is modern and inviting, and the beds were super comfortable—everyone in our family slept like a baby! The breakfast, albeit not complimentary, was quite enjoyable, with options available for various tastes. On top of that, the location is perfect, being just a short drive away from the Texas State Capitol and the University of Texas, as well as offering access to numerous restaurants nearby.

The air conditioning unit was quite noisy.

i was pleasantly surprised by how clean and well-managed everything was at the hilton garden. the beds were comfortable, and the staff was super helpful when we needed information about local attractions. this stay exceeded my expectations compared to my last trip here.

pool area could use an upgrade.

The dining experience was a highlight with an amazing omelet that made breakfast a treat, and the cheerful staff kept everything running smoothly. Unfortunately, the smaller than expected pool was disappointing. Overall, I would definitely return!
